..:^*^ A Fabulous Discovery ^*^:..

Do you ever wondered how other vintage lovers in other cities in the world pull their outfits together? I certainly do and if you are just as curious then you need to check out the crazy-cool website Street Peeper.
Described as "a global street fashion photo site, featuring the best street style from cities like New York, Berlin, Paris, London, Tokyo, and more," what caught my eye were the amazing people donning their vintage best.
But which city would you reward the VINTAGE BEST DRESSED - Paris, London or New York? Check out the photos below and decide for yourself....

NEW YORK

PARIS

LONDON

I am dying for that beautiful floral dress in the Paris set, if anyone sees one remotely similar anywhere for sale give me a shout because I need it!

Honorable Mentions...

TOKYO

SYDNEY

Such a great idea right? The clever man behind the website and fab images is Phil Oh. I love the way he captures real style in the streets of our famous cities and shares it with the world.
Love the idea..... Love the website!

....:: A Very Pretty Storage Solution ::....

If you're anything like me you have a drawer, a box or shelf that is filled with your jewellery that becomes a bit of a mess no matter how hard you try to keep it organised!

Not only does your jewellery get scratched and man-handled much more than necessary, I have no idea what's in half the little boxes I hoard and its so hard to find what I want when I want it.

I thought these clear cases would help but then failed to buy more than 2 before the shop I found them in sold out.....

Like me, do you need a simple solution? I've stumbled across a very pretty and ingenious one....
TEACUPS & SAUCERS of course!

Is this not a fabulous idea?!

And where to keep my collection once organised in delicate, beautiful china:

Well an Antique French Walnut chest of drawers would be lovely....?!

A few of my favorite Vintage pieces in my collection:

1940's Gold Tone Hinged Buckle Bracelet by Crown Trifari

1960's Monet Goldtone & Enamel Pendant Necklaces

A collection of Goldtone Monet Bangles

Vintage Monet Creamy White Enamel Goldtone Choker

..:^ Roaring 20's on the Runway - Part 2 ^:..

While Gucci was doing it in Milan, Ralph Lauren was rocking it in New York.

Ralph Lauren's Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week collection was devoted to the 1920s, a la The Great Gatsby. There was that louche sportiness via a double-breasted suit and drop-waist dresses, lots of beading and feathers, and the slim, sexy silhouettes favoured by the Daisy Buchanans of the world. The colour palette was an essay in pastel-on-pastel dressing, and the feather-light chiffon gowns, silk bias cut dresses and palazzo pants added to fluidity of the company's vision.

Impossibly pretty and totally dreamy it's safe to say that the folks at Ralph Lauren have done the 20's fashion era proud.
  • Trends: 1920s, asymmetrical hemlines, drop-waist dresses, strapless styles, pastels.
  • Colours: Peppermint, pastel pinks and blues, white.
  • Key Look: Wide leg palazzo pants worn with loose knits, long bias cut silk slip dresses.
  • Accessories: Turbans, cloche hats, feathered stoles, long layered beads.
I love, love, love every look ..... do you??

....::^*^ For My Wardrobe ^*^::.....

On my wishlist this week has got to be this stunning 1920's Adoria Loeser's bias cut sheer floral silk chiffon dress. Made of floral chiffon, with ruffles , a back cape and french braided straps..... such a dreamy creation.

..:^ Roaring 20's on the Runway ^:..

I always enjoy watching the slideshows form the world's most famous runways each season. The shows, showing the newest trends from the ingenious heads behind the biggest labels, give us mere mortals a glimpse into what the world will be wearing next.

Spring/Summer 2012 collections were shown in Milan this week with models hitting the catwalk for the big names int he business - Versace, Gucci, Emporio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana.

Catching my eye was the Gucci show and if I were to find a few words to describe the feel.... Hard Core Deco....
With a show that was heavy on metallics and fringe it seems the Roaring 20's are back for good. Drop-waisted, flapper-esque and boyish silhouettes dominated and all that shine allowed the Gucci girls to shimmy down that runway.

What do you think - love it or hate it??

..:^*^ Movie Poster Madness ^*^:...

I've recently come across the fab website 'At the Movies' an online based store that stocks hundreds of original movie posters up for purchase. To be honest some of the prices made me gasp out loud, the only way I could own some of these beauties if if I got a bank loan but they are simply lovely to admire!

I've put some great posters that have caught my eye in the side bar and I'm loving the collection of Breakfast at Tiffanys posters (my all time favorite movie) from around the world. Check them out below....
